Boler door Channel

Hi all,

I'm looking for help sourcing the channel (see photo) that the door rests up against when closed. Have tried Home Depot Canada, Home hardware and Auto stores without success.

Any help would be appreciated.

I ended up having to reuse mine. I tried cleaning it with a few detergents but no luck. Then I tried acetone and it really did a good job of cleaning it up. It looks like new and the acetone seems to soften the dried rubber coating so it is no longer brittle but pliable.

You can find what you need from several classic car suppliers or ebay:

It is called "Pinch weld edge protector" and is available in several colors and widths for it to fit over.

You can even get a version with an integrated rubber seal. Early 70's Chevy trucks used this (but I don't think you would be able to close the door as it would likely make the door fitment to tight).

Thanks Kent - The Aussie site was the right product but the price and shipping was out of my spending bracket. But now I know what the product is called (Pinch weld edge protector) I will be able to investigate it further.

Oops, Australia eBay!! That was the first link that came up in my Google search. Didn't even notice

You would probably have to install it upside down since it would come from the land down under!!

If you're in the Lower Mainland B.C. the Old Car Center in Langley might have them.

Google TrimLok, they manufacture the edge molding as well as the edge molding including the weather seal. Find the size and part number on their site then Google that item for a local or online source.

Thanks all for your replies. Found many companies that will sell you enough product for 20 Bolers and eBay suppliers that are not interested in shipping to Canada. But I will continue the search. Somewhere, somehow there is 15' of Edge Trim waiting to join 'Miss Bola' on her future adventures.

Elvin.

If you haven't already, I suggest you phone Fraserway RV. Their website is nothing but frustrating, but they likely will carry what you need.

Mensie,

Thank you for the lead. So far all suppliers have wanted a crazy amount of Dollars for shipping so I'll phone them tomorrow as I am not sure they will deliver to BC Canada and what the cost will be.

Make sure they ship USPS and not UPS. UPS will bill you a broker fee ( for crossing the border ) that may be more than the cost of the item ( never mind the shipping ). If a retailer ships UPS, I won't buy.
USPS hands off to Canada Post and I've never been charged extra fees.

Have those same suppliers give a shipping quote to this address:
At The Border Mail Then you go pick it up just across the border. You would be surprised at how many companies ship free within the U.S. but want an arm and a leg to ship to Canada.

It would work if you live close to the border, I’m 4 hours away.

Door trim

I found a lot of rubber trim on Amazon I’m switching trailer to black so I’m ok with choices they offer I’ve include a screen shot. I’ve also found door seal and a PVC trimm rubber to replace the aluminum belly band on amazon
