Boler door seal

Picked up a Boler recently and there is no door seal on the body or the door itself. When I add a seal, does it go on the door or body shell? Pros and cons...

The door seal on our 1973 Boler is merely a common 'spongy' weather seal, and it mounted on the body shell, not the door. Easily replaced for about 'a buck-and-a-half'; but there is no such seal across the bottom, which hasn't caused any significant problem to date. I'm not sure if that simple seal was 'original', when I acquired this TT !

Although the seal can go on either the door or the door opening, it is best to mount it around the door opening for one simple reason. he seal stuck to the door frame prevents water than runs against the seal from leaking into the trailer. If you put the seal on the door the slightest gap where the seal contacts the door frame will allow water to enter

Door seal

Well folks, the shell was my first pick, and I am glad you all agree! That is where I will stick it. Hope it stays stuck in the corner bends. Cheers!

Boler Door Seal?

Anyone have advice where to buy one of these in discussion. I am seeing leaks through my door seal. The previous owner put the foam on the door but I would like to buy a seal similar to what you are suggesting. Appreciate all your comments, Rob

Hi Alex thanks for this. Was this recommended by someone who tried it? Thank you again! Rob

I read through the reviews and there were multiple Boler owners who rated it highly. At the time I bought it I also had a coupon for a discount. I have bought other seals for my windows from Vintage Trailer Supply along with other things and have had no issues with their quality or service.

I recently got this trim from Amazon. Installed easily on my 73 Boler on the door opening and is working well.
