Boler Interior Insulation

Hi - I am slowly starting to work on my boler. I really want to get the insulation off down to the fiberglass and start again. I've started to rip at it but it is STUCK on well... any ideas?

It is lots of work, I didn't find any easy solution. I just pulled it down and scraped it off.

Rent a steamer from a decal/vinyl shop, the heat and moisture may release the glue. I haven't removed Boler insulation, but have been successful with other glued on fabrics, decals, bonded moldings etc.

Frankly, I would do everything possible to save it and leave it glued on! It's a lot of work to get off, a lot more work and EXPENSIVE to replace. YMMV

Boler interior insulation

Got a 1700 boler, 1/5 of the insulation is missing. What is the best method to repair?
Thanks in advance for all help.
My first trailer and so happy to find what I always wanted. Let the TLC begin!

We tried many, many things when working to replace our interior (was bare fiberglass from previous owner). We finally paid someone to come and spray this insulating coating inside (about 1/4 inch deep). I wish I knew the name of it... They use it here in Arkansas to insulate chicken coops (!). I dries to be pretty hard, but bumpy, and fairly light. Then we painted it. It's not the PRETTIEST thing, but it gives a bit more support to the fiberglass under it, AND the upside is the boler will NEVER leak. If we do get a leak around the windows or something, it will never get between the wall and insulation, and it wipes right off. Let me see if I can post a picture...

My husband found what he thinks is a similar DIY product to what we had done. Called Foam It Green:

Foam it Green DIY Spray Foam Insulation Kits

It SOUNDS like the same stuff, but we have not seen or touched it to know if it is the same.
