Hey fellow eggsters! I'm looking for a roof vent and a stainless sink for my '71 13ft boler. I went to Meridian RV for parts and all they carried were 14" roof vents - I need an 11" one. And none of the sinks in their catalogues were the same measurements as mine either - not very helpful.

Does any one have any advice? Know of any dealers or websites where I can find proper fitting boler parts?

Thanks, Natalie

I just put in a stainless sink in my 73 boler. They do have a sink at home depot that is almost the exact size that we are looking for in the boler. However, it is about 1/2 inch smaller in length than the one in the boler. I bit the bullet and put it in anways, there are only two small gaps where the flange isn't able to cover the existing cut out. I was going to put a piece of aluminum flatbar, or cut out an insert to fit the shape of the sink and extend the flange but i decided it was too much work. I just filled the holes with silicone for now until i figure out what to do with it at a later date.

The last two pictures in the album show the kitchen sink with the two small gaps on the left hand side and how it looks. I admit it isn't a perfect fit but as hard as i tried at my local dealers, they just weren't able to order in a sink that was the right size.

I just recently took my vent out because of a poor seal. I was able to find the new chain at canadian tire as well as other places that have lighting supplies. If the vent is not overly damaged, there is a good chance you can take it out and repair it quite easily.

Your trailer looks very nice!

Best of luck.

I will say that getting that vent back into place took some work.. definitely a 2 person job. unless you put it back in with rivets. I used small machine screws to secure it again so i could make sure the seal was nice and tight. Glad that info helped! you have no idea how long i searched for a sink that would fit... It gives me nightmares! haha

I just put in a 14 inch vent on my Boler.
Origanally it had nothing and then previous, Florida, owner had an AC unit up there but here in Maine I had no use for that
Anyone need a used AC unit.
Anyway I got a stock 14 inch vent but had to build a 2 inch wooden frame on the inside to take up the slack in the thickness of the vent basil.
I guess most campers have 2 inch thick ceilings and the Bolers are only about 1/2 inch.
It came out good but lowered the ceiling by the 2 inches but I am use to this as the AC unit was about the same.
I will post pictures tomorrow as I do not have any yet and I am off for a night of winter camping tonight.
