I have a good friend (Canadian, Eh?) who is about to close a deal on Boler that has been painted, (like this !!!). He is asking me and I in turn am asking any Boler owners in our 'Egg Salad" where one should/might find the regi number.

I suggested he simply ask the owner to SHOW it to him on the trailer and to verify that number with the number he will have on the paperwork....

hahaha, the very first thing on the Buyers Check list (left nav bar) says:
VIN number(s) are located:
The VIN number is:

Until someone else answers up, I've found these discussions on Bolerama:

These numbers are really hard to find!!! The Mfg. usually stamped them into the frame/tongue but have probably been covered over with many coats of "Tremclad". If the original cupboard doors exist it may be on a sheet of paper glued inside. That too is a long shot...

I have also found it on a piece of foil like paper attached to the outside of the boler just below the centre aluminium rail on the driver side. About 3/4" by 11/2" in size.

If you have the registration paper/licence info it should be on there.

Hi Doug,

I have been told the you can find it on the axel. And durring my restoration, that's where mine was.
But on some bolers, it was mounted in other locations. Mine was on an aluminum plate, 1 inch by 1 1/2 inch. Unfortionatly, after 30 years on the road, that aluminum plate was rusty and worn. I could not read it. I lucked out, the seller of mine had the spec sheet that is usually posted on a peice of paper inside a cabinet door.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Where to find it seems to depend upon where and when your trailer was made. In our case there is a metal plate on the tongue.
