Boler Serial Number Question **Let's Solve This Puzzle**

I recently went looking for the S/N on my 74 13' Boler.

The number stamped on the frame (door side 6-8" out from the camper beside the propane tank) seems a little strange. Did Boler really make over 340,000 campers by 1974??? I think not!

The number is: 340666 (I am guessing on the 4 as there is a hole drilled through it)

Maybe someone got a little devilish with the 6's?

Standards were starting to be set for serial numbers, they were no longer just the number produced, the numbers started to include other information. There is a chance your serial number means something like built 3rd month of 1974, trailer number 666? Just guessing but this is often what manufacturers started doing

So, what I have learned so far:

(Thanks for your input Ian G. you inspired me to start the hunt)

At some point, the Boler serial number did became 6 digits (Probably 7 digits since there are 12 months in the year).

The first digit is the month of production: 3 = March
The second digit is the year of production: 4 = 1974 (would 1984 also use a 4?)
The last 4 digits is the production number: 0666

What I do not know is if the production number is for the month, year or total production from some point in the past. For example, do they start over again at 0000 (or 0001 or some other number) at monthly or yearly intervals?

666 units in one month may be possible, but unlikely.
If it is the total for the year, they would be averaging 333 units/month with a yearly production of over 3,900 units/year. (this is all speculation so anyone that can spread some facts over this guess work would be helpful!)

Post up your S/N and lets see if we can see a pattern!

I too am wondering about the serial number of my b-1300, 1976 vintage.

This was on the sticker on the driver's side:

130S - S - 36 - 0232 2/76

Not sure if this means it was the second in the series in 1976?

To me 2/76 sounds like February 1976.

Very interesting. I am very lucky as I still have the original boler sticker on my trailer stating the month year and boler #. But I will still crawl under mine to see if I have a number, that matches or makes sense.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the boards so thought I would say a quick hello

Along the right side of the frame (along the tongue) shows a metal plate displaying 081. There are no other no.'s anywhere else on the frame or inside the Boler. Would this be the vin number?

What I do know is, my grandparents were the 2nd owners, it has a flat roof and was built with no insulation. It has always been registered/insured as a '69.

Maybe someone else out there has a similar style of number and if so, is it registered as a '68 or '69?

Any feedback helps

Cindy

Year built and serial #

I have a 1979 Boler manufactured in Winfield, BC SN 95497-37. My Date of Manufacture is located on a sticker outside below the fridge vent panel stating that it was built in 05/79. This would put the year first and month second if there is any correlation.

Ours has only 5 digits 20417 it is also on the foil at side on the right, in the right lighting at just the right angle you can read almost the entire sticker. Frame would require some paint removal to really read and the inside cupboard sticker is clear as a bell.
If repainted then frame replaced and closet door sticker lost then what would a person do lol.

Smile Original brochure for all 3 models (13', 15', 17')

My manual (although for a 13' Boler) has hand printing on it that says:
Mod. B1500 and Ser. 05051-18
I just recently found an original brochure for all 3 models (13', 15', 17') that was printed when the 15' models just came out.
The pics are for the 15' model.
