Boler-Year?

Hello all. I am trying to find out what year this boler is.
There is nothing on the tongue, and closet door has been removed.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bonnie

Sometimes a VIN number will provide clues. A good set of photos, inside and outside, will help, too.

The VIN # should be on the title. Cool looking trailer too.

No title.
We are drowning in Legal Red Tape trying to get one.

I'm not a Boler expert. Clues I see include: (1) raised trolley roof, (2) Ensolite (closed cell foam) lining, (3) solid frame across front bench (no recess for a porta-potty), (4) straight bumper. I can't tell whether it has recessed taillights.

At a guess, very late 60's or early 70's.

Hopefully one of the Boler experts will chime in…

What does Indiana require in cases where there is no title?

Yes, recessed tail lites.

We are currently scheduled for a court hearing.
If the PO would have taken care of Title..this would not be an issue.

In hindsight (always 20/20, of course), most people would advise against buying a trailer in a title state without seeing it before any money changes hands. It has to be in the name of the person to whom you are giving the money.

Most states do have a process to grant title, but it is rarely quick, easy, or inexpensive, as you are finding out. Best wishes getting it sorted out. It's a nice trailer in need of some loving attention.

Did the seller put the VIN # on the bill of sale ? Is the seller in the same state as you are ? I lived in Indiana years ago and back then, the vehicle had to be inspected by the police. I lived in Lowell and the License Branch would call the Police Station and an officer would come over and check the numbers. Is that still the procedure.

Sorry to hear about your problems; our vin is on ownership, closet door and stamped on to the tongue of the trailer at hitch, as well as the metal sticker on the side of trailer sticker is so faded almost impossible to tell what each item is for lol.

the paint on hitch makes vin hard to read.

http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ler-35939.html in this feed on pick shows the frame stamp in same spot and our trailer, paint hides it mostly and it is 5 digits long on our 87, beside the propane tank tray on left side.

Your Boler looks like it is 1974 or earlier.

It has the earlier style exterior door handle (I believe this changed in 1975).

The rear bumper is different than the one on my 1974 (mine runs straight across the rear but it curves 90 Deg at each end and continues into/under the trailer and connects to the frame rails) This may be a year based difference or it could be related to where it was built.

Check for the serial number stamped into the top of the front frame rail, adjacent to the propane tank on the door side.

See here for additional info on finding the S/N: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...tml#post591926

I never figured out a year for mine either, I have a sense it is late in the production run (80's). The owner's manual has a note listing as a 1992 which is not possible. I can't find a VIN on the frame, the number that was once upon a time embossed in the shell was not readable when I got the trailer and the plate with the specs riveted to the side has been stamped 92.
Hope you figure it out, maybe someday I will figure mine out. As for the government they are just fine with a registration listing it as a 1992, so what the heck...
