Burro Window Covers

It took awhile, but the covers for the Burro are finished. This keeps the water out when traveling, and makes it nice and dark so my wife can sleep till noon.

Those look really nice! What is the material? Are those snaps holding them on? If so, is it designed to hold when towing?

They should also help in the winter, but you may find some heat build up issues in direct sunlight with the dark material vs lighter, maybe have 2 sets, one for winter and one for summer.

Can you give me more insight as to how you made the covers and how you attached them to your camper. They look great and are exactly the solution I've been looking for on solving the problem of too much light in the morning.

The material is a marine vinyl, with foam backing sewn in. The fasteners are a combination of stainless steel turnbuckles and snaps. The shop that made them works primarily with boats. They were specifically designed to keep water out at highway speeds.

The Stainless turnbuckle pictured is correct. We used snaps near the seam to get a tight custom fit.
