Trailer: 1973 13 ft Compact II
Posts: 416
I spotted a cute small fiberglass trailer that has the logo: CampMite. I don't see one on the Web page. It looks very similar to my Compact II, with the door in the rear and a pop up over the kitchen area. It appears to be somewhat smaller than the Compact II.

If anyone knows anything about these little baby Eggies, please let me know, as I'm interested in buying this one. It looks like it needs quite a bit of interior and exterior work.

Thanks!

We just bought one last week, found it in Washington. I think the vin is 12.

I have only found one other refrence to a Campmite.

This is our first trailer and we feel it will be lots of fun. I am not sure about starting with a 40 year old trailer is the wisest but it does have character.

The Campmite is a "TrailsWest" Camper. I had one recently and it is very similar to the "Hunter" Compact Jr.
The first picture here is a Hunter built "Compact Jr".
The second is the 1975 Hunter
The third is a TrailsWest built "Campmite"

All are "before refit" pictures...
The roof is Non-stock on the "Campmite"... in stock trim it has a pop-up over the kitchen.
On this "Compact Jr.", the roof is full length,.... however, the 1975 Hunter has the shorter "over the kitchen" roof.

The molds are distinctly different as well on each. the 1975 Hunter is actually 6" shorter overall than the other two.( I think I measured it right)

PS... I went out to the shop and took a picture of the 1975 Hunter...It is shown below...In the middle now for some reason???
