Can you use a store bought settee as front sofa?

My 13ft Scamp front bunk was removed by previous owner and door installed with porta potty and huge wooden shelf on opposite side. I’m not a carpenter, saw a nice padded settee bench at Target, looks like it’d be a nice fit and sits up so baskets could be placed underneath for storage. Anyone see or do anything like this? I want a nice padded bench with pillows.

You can use anything you want as long as you can figure out how to secure it in place so that it does not become a flying object in the trailer when you hit a pothole. The other thing to remember when shopping is the width of your door opening, you have to be able to get your purchase inside the trailer. Most likely it is narrow enough but double check before you commit.

How can you get it inside your trailer?

Most of these doors are not very wide!

Otherwise, I think it could be a really good idea.

We used a disassembled metal futon frame for the foundations of both our ~twin~ beds. We measured VERY carefully first, and we got it free.

Kai, you have the right idea. Chances are good that Target furniture comes disassembled. Put it together inside. If not this item, check Ikea or many stores.

I measured, it’s small, little storage bench, and I can put taller legs on it if needed to store porta potty, baskets underneath...legs off and flat in box,, I’ve got to disassemble that wood shelf that was built on one side in there, my project for today. I like the door, but may look dumb, have to plan as I go. My tiny office?

Germany: we love pictures, if you can get them in.

Tom 72: thanks, and good point.
