canvas awning 1994 scamp 13

Hello everyone, first thanks for the Red Max Pro information. My 1994 scamp is no longer chalky, it shines!
My scamp came with a canvas awning for the front with two poles. The awning slides into a grooved section along the front but I don't know how to keep the front taught. Any help would be appreciated...

An awning for the front? You mean the front window over the tongue? I'd like to see this... do you have any pictures to share?

Thanks for the reply Donna D. If it stops snowing tomorrow I'll try to get a picture but yes, it goes along the front in fron of the door opening and along that side. I'll try to get a pic soon...

Okay, so along the side... the door area. You'll need poles and guy lines like for a bag awning. The guy lines pull the awning taunt. Here's a post with a picture: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...tml#post267094

Hope this helps.

1994 scamp awning

yes Donna D, very similar to that Trillium awning. Attached is a picture athough a little dark of the track above the door. My awning just has two grommet holes that attach to the poles, I'll look into guidewires. Thanks so much...

Here's my awning. You can see the ropes that are hooked onto the tops of the poles (over the awning, to hold it on the poles) and they are held down with stakes in the ground.

Thanks Pam, I don't have a grommet or connection in the middle but I think I can make something work...
