Thumbs up

I am currently looking at a 17' Casita without a gas furnace and I am wondering how difficult and expensive it might be to install.
Thanks,
Rob

I don't know the installation cost, but just looking at one RV furnace site the actual cost of a furnace is fairly costly.

Wow, I wouldn't have expected those things to run $500+

I had a 17' Boler with a rooftop AC/heat strip combination. You have to camp at sites with electrical hookup to use these because the heatstrip is just another word for electric heater(110 V), and of course the AC will require at least a 15A outlet. It probably has a fan to distribute the warm air. The advantage is your using the campgrounds power to heat with. A 1500W micro furnace(small cube type)will heat most 13' trailers easily. If you use a propane furnace on the other hand and have a good battery you should be able to heat the trailer without electrical hookup but you use your propane. Many people have used their trailers as emergency shelters(eg fires or mudslides in California) recently and having a propane furnace could be pretty convenient in cool weather.

Consider a different heat source, like electric heater, catalytic or ODS LP heater, a couple of Coleman Black Cats, etc.

We are move along from that trailer, deal was not that good to spend too much money and time on a heater.
