I had a 17'
Boler with a rooftop AC/heat strip combination. You have to camp at sites with
electrical hookup to use these because the heatstrip is just another word for electric heater(110 V), and of course the AC will require at least a 15A outlet. It probably has a fan to distribute the warm air. The advantage is your using the campgrounds power to heat with. A 1500W micro furnace(small cube type)will heat most 13' trailers easily.If you use a
propane furnace on the other hand and have a good
battery you should be able to heat the trailer without
electrical hookup but you use your
propane. Many people have used their trailers as emergency shelters(eg fires or mudslides in California) recently and having a
propane furnace could be pretty convenient in cool weather.
