cleaning

What is a good way to clean the outside of a fiberglass camper?

You mean.... like the same way you clean and wax the tug? I guess I don't understand the question. Do you have a particular problem happening in the gelcoat?

You can use a number of different things to clean fiberglass. Stuff that you'd use in a fiberglass shower stall in your home, for instance. 409, Tilex, cleaners with bleach, Awesome (from the Dollar Store), Magic Eraser, and on and on. Once clean apply a really good wax like Meguires.

Cool

I have had good results from Complete Care Detailing Products. They hire young people to demonstrate their "Flawless Cleaning Wax" every 6 months or so at an Arco gas station I patronize. I've been using it on my Fiber Stream for about 3 years now, and actually look forward to seeing the "Hucksters" when I run out of the stuff. It's a spray-on/wipe-in/buff-out product that's simple to use although it takes me a full Saturday to clean the whole trailer top to bottom.

Was thinking of going to the truck wash with a ladder and using the sprayer and then giving the trailer a wax job.

Any problems with power washing it ?

Power washing these molded trailers is not recommended unless you're doing a rebuild. The pressure of the water may remove minute pieces of caulk, butyl, etc and you may introduce leaks where there were none previously.
