My 77 Scamp came with intact foam cushions that are in pretty good shape. My wife won't even consider reusing them with new covers. I don't blame her, but does anyone know of a way to sanitize foam? I've heard of companies that steam mattresses but we don't have one here that I know of.
What kevin said.....lay them out to dry or prop them up in the tub til they drip dry.....
If your wife is still leary price out foam and show her how much it costs then when her jaw drops on the floor about the cost continue on with the soap and water ...a side note go to the dry cleaners and get the plastic garment covers. Wrap the foam in this befor yu put them back in the upholstry.

Yeah are you throwing away those old covers?...if so I know we have the same pattern and Im looking for the couch cushion cover (the bottom one) If your selling I'm buying
If you have a front loading washer, I just put them in there. One at a time and they spin out almost dry, then just let them air dry the rest of the way.
Thanks for the great ideas. The previous owner had aired out the foam cushions and wrapped them in dry cleaner bags. I'm going to pull the covers this week and give them a good inspection.

We'll be making new covers. Our bottom couch cushion cover has some holes. I'll snap a picture of it this week when I get into in them.
