We're still waiting for our new Dexter
axle to arrive.
In the meantime I'm reading all of these other threads about floor trouble, which can make you paranoid.
Lil
Bigfoot had new vinyl floor when we got it, the kind that looks like hardwood and lays down in strips. I notice in hot weather the seams between the strips seem to expand, i.e. the floor is expanding.
We haven't seen any evidence of damp or wet. However, when I look at the floor of the space behind the
fridge (when we're turning it on and off), the wood floor there definitely looks old. Not rotten, but old.
I haven't had any real concerns about the floor, but I DO NOTICE that my kitchen counter is about 1/2 higher over the
axle. It's not quite level.
Should I worry that something is sinking? Or would this be pretty common?
We don't notice any kinds of stress cracks in the shell, although it looks like the bumper has been separated and reattached at one point, with some kind of seal and
paint to repair the seam.
