Crack in fiberglass

Hi, My husband and I bought a new 13' Scamp a month ago. I was waxing it today and found a hairline crack going up from the metal band about 6" from the left side of the door. Anyone else ever have this problem? Could it be a stress crack?

Debbie if this is a brand new scamp...call them!

I did call them and they wanted a picture of it so sending that. Just wondered if this is a common problem.

On our eggs, it's not uncommon to find a few very thin cracks in certain areas of the gel coat. These are usually not a problem and don't cause leaks. Remember, some of our members find old fiberglass trailers sitting out in fields and rebuild them. Fiberglass is an awfully sturdy material.
