Curious about Scamp Jalousie windows, wonder if mine are original?

As a newbie Scamp owner I'm interested in trying to sort out which items are factory and which may have been switched out along the way.

I have been looking at the registry of other Scamps, and it seems that many of the Jalousie windows are silver.

Mine have a black trim. I'm just trying to find out if that was a factory option back in 1992.

Any thoughts?

Vintage Scamps, up to around 1984, had silver-colored, milled aluminum jalousies. In 1985 they switched to black painted radius sliders, which were standard up to around 2010. In the 1990's and early 2000's, not sure of the exact years, they also offered the non-radius, black-painted jalousies as a factory option. That's what you have, and they're not too common. Around 2010 or 2011 they switched to the current radius jalousies, where only the center part swings out.

Yours is one of the oldest I've seen with the jalousie option, so I'm not 100% sure whether it's OEM or a retrofit.

They're nice in either case! Great for ventilation even in the rain.

Our 2005 16 foot Scamp had them in black and we loved them too. Not sure if they came with it or modified later, but we never saw other '05 Scamps with them.

I love these too and am glad they are black as they match the frames of the other windows.

We have them also. Ours is a 2003 Scamp 16. The only one I don't like is the dinette window, it is about 30 inches wide and kind of bendy when open. I am always careful with it!
I like that you got a 10 foot awning on a 13 foot trailer, lots of acreage under tarp.

I do love the awning, now that I know how to use it. The Scamp video was helpful.
Is your dinette a side dinette or rear?

It is a side dinette we have had it since 2006 picked it up only 7 hours from home. Quite a good set up the PO (previous owner) had it set up for all contingencies. The fridge is the 4.3 cu.ft. gas/elec, city and holding tank water and the HW tank is also gas/elec. There is a roof A/C and a fantastic fan. I replaced the lights with either new led fixtures or led lamps. No utilities needed to camp but nice to have them. We leave the rear dinette set as a bed always.

I have been doing that as well.
I have been using the front couch with a TV tray as a work-around for now.
I do have a little bit of side-dinette envy, but not enough to want to part with my first Scamp.
