Decals and lettering

I will start this wknd with a complete scrub down, rinse and polish. But, I want to get some lettering done on the front and back. My instincts tell me to do this before the polish goes on. Any recommondations from those who have gone before? Thank in advance.

I used ammonia to take off the Red Max locally, put on the decal, then re-waxed over the top of the decal.

I did precisely what Tom did but only on the polystyrene insert in the front window gravel guard using 12% ammonia. Sticker is stickin. Of course, Red Max is incredibly difficult to remove NOT! If your wax is more conventional, accepted, time-tested and proven down the aeons of FRV history, perhaps it will be even easier to remove.

Plus one. Clean to FG because that is what you want decals to stick on, not wax or dirt.

Serendipity??

Red Max was on my shopping list on my US trip last month. I missed a sign, took a wrong ramp and ended up looking at a Lowes. I got the last two jugs for $11.00 each. I was back on the right road within 30 minutes.
It will be Red Max once the rig is scrubbed up.

Lowes online list the Red Max and they ship to store, not sure if that applies to Canada but if you don't find it at local Lowes you might be able to order online for delivery to local store with no shipping cost.
