Dometic door reno

I have never like the dark, woodgrain Masonite panel. Too dark. I used some re-cycled tub surround plastic cut to fit the door, bolstered the space behind it with some scrap plastic and some bubble wrap.
The end result is a clean, white fridge door that is easy to keep clean.
There are two pieces, one for the door panel and one across the top to hld the lower one in place. I hope the pics get through.

Nice job. Looks good with recycled materials.

It looks great! I love when you can make something out of stuff you have just laying around.
This thread made me think that it might be cool to start a new one of fridge doors. I've seen people do some really interesting things with them.

We just finished our "Spring Clean Up/Scavenger Week" here in Gander.
When something is piled up at the curb you can stop if you see something you like/want/need [One man's garbage is ......... etc.] and take it. The deal is don't make a mess. That's where the plastic came from. I later saw an old BBQ with aluminium doors but I didn't have the room for it. Just wait 'til next year!!

Why rent a truck if you already have a trailer?

A year ago I moved into a small 2-brm senior's apartment. It took months to clear out the old house. Pack rat, scavenger, beachcomber, dump diver etc. I have promised myself that I will not start another collection and so far I'm doing okay with it. Beachcombing this summer will be a real challenge but I'm looking forward to it. Maybe I will just have to leave town during clean up week next fall.....
Thanks for the favourable comments on the door reno. The Trillium is ready to roll. As I said earlier, it may not be pretty [yet] but it is ready. D.
