Angry Dometic porta pottie

About the middle of December there was a post on here from a guy that worked for Dometic offering porta potties at a special price to FBRV owners. I made the mistake of buying three, two as gifts. They are totally undersized and not made for adult bodies. Their webpage only gives outside measurements, not what size the seat would be. I am in dispute with Dometic and have notified my credit card company.
Just saying BUYER BEWARE. I will post info on my resolution from Dometic as I expect them to stand behind their products and brand name.

I was the one who posted a link here to the original post for the Dometic loo's. We ordered one and liked it so well that we ordered a second one. Don't know if you got a different one, but the ones we bought are just fine.

We ordered a new Dometic loo in our 2011 Scamp. It serves its purpose fine. We are 5'4" and 5'10" respectively of average weight. I would prefer that the seat height be a little (maybe 4") higher. I am thinking of buying/making a 4" step for outside the door and using it under the loo inside at night when we pull it out and set it up.

Make a box with 4 sides and a bottom that the potti will fit in. When needed remove the potti from the box, flip the box over and put the potti on the inverted box. The height of the box will determine how much higher the potti is. i.e. for a 4 inch increase make the sides of the box 4 inches tall. Raz

I said I would post my resolution with Dometic. They will take them back, but the return shipping is $25 each. That doesn't work for me so I have to keep them. I'll continue to use my old Thetford.

Maybe you can resell them locally. New in box sells pretty well.
