The door in my Scamp freezes shut. Snow from the roof melts, runs down along the seal between the door and the body and freezes. I'm sure that someone has figgured out how to prevent this. I'm tired of using a hair dryer to break in to the Scamp.

Thanks in advance.

Dennis.

And if Miami isn't in the picture, you might want to think about a small rain gutter type thing. Mine has one over the door and I haven't had the freezing problem.

Drip cap above the door, and spray the edges of the door where it freezes with silicone lubricant.

Just don't get the silicone on the gelcoat... let me yell... DON'T GET THE SILICONE ON THE GELCOAT. If the trailer EVER needs to be painted, it will cause problems. You'd probably be safest soaking a rag with silicone and wiping it on the gasket... carefully.
