Hello Ulysse,

Welcome to the forum. Is your '79 Triple-E unit a Surfside Trailer? Several of us on this forum have Surfside trailers -- mine is a '76.

If you have information on sources for vintage Bargman locks, we'd be interested in learning more about that. Many of these older trailers are in need of replacement parts for their locks.

I was trying to post a link,
and also a pic of our Surf Side trailer, but I keep getting an Error,??

I restored our trailer to match our "52" Ford P/U, and did a ton of renovations on the trailer.
In fact, I will be doing a few more upgrades hopefully starting in another couple of weeks(still working on the "52" right now).

I can,t even load the pic in my avatar,????

Your pictures and avatar are probably too big.

<blockquote>Your avatar must be no bigger than 75 pixels by 75 pixels in size. Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 8 KB.

Pictures: The reason is because your image is too large for the server, in other words it is over the 600 pixel limit.

The reason we recommend 600 pixel size pictures is because an internet browser only sees up to 72 dpi. Very little detail will be lost (if any) in using smaller images.</blockquote>

I bought 3 extra locks from a guy on e-bay that he had left(new old stock).
If anyone is interested in a brand new [b]Bargman lock, they can p.m. me for more info..
They come with 2 new keys, and a key code tag.
I just installed mine on today, and now works awesome.!!!

Odd your locksmith wasn't interested. When mine needed a new key, he made one from the lock and serviced it to like new. My privacy thing was iffy too.

It cost a whole ten bucks,
Gina, I just have to say thanks. My trailer had the original Bargman L400, but no keys. I have been searching for a reasonably priced replacement for months without luck. So I searched for other possible solutions. I found this old post, removed my lock and had a locksmith make me a set of keys. The locksmith took 24 hours, made three keys and charged me $15. Quite a bargain compared to a replacement, feel like a fool for not starting there. So thanks.

do you think your new lock set from Scamp will fit a Boler with a Bargman L400?
