Door trim "wind lace"

I found a ready supply of door trim. The U shaped trim that goes around the inside door frame. Caps off the fiberglass edge perfectly. It has a usable opening of 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch and a depth of 1/2 inch. I found it by the foot at speedy auto glass in Canada, but I would assume any auto glass shop would have it. It is called "wind lace" to the glass guys.

This is also widely available as Trim-Loc edge trim on eBay, etc.

Yes it is, but it is way more convenient to drive to your local auto glass store and pick up exactly the amount needed. I paid a buck a foot, and had it immediately.

I posted this for the convenience of others that might not have the product available at their local auto glass store, or even have a local auto glass store.

Sorry, did not mean to come across snarky. Was just excited to find it local, and not have to wait.

It is a good tip. Sometimes local places can have a surprising variety of hard to find and specialized products.

I prefer to buy things needed locally. I like to support my local merchants. Besides, I hate to pay S&H.

Good tip Willis
