dumb Casita battery question

I'm a newbie, so bear with me...

The Casita ('99 Spirit Deluxe - 17') has no battery. The owner didn't replace it when it went bad, as he hooks up to electricity when he camped. I will pick up the camper tomorrow (all manuals there - I'm sure this info is included), but I'd like to get a replacement battery.

What kind of battery is needed? Is a trailer battery something special, or do you use a car or marine battery? I forgot if there was any kind of mounting hardware in the battery box.....anyone know?

Also, i assume that the battery will recharge when connected to the tow vehicle? I've seen this in some of the posts...i wasn't sure if this is always the case or if you've got to have a special battery or some special connection for that....

Thanks!

You need a deep cycle "marine" battery. Measure the box and use one that fits.

Your trailer should have a large 7 spade RV connector and should charge from it when plugged in to the tow vehicle.

The only "dumb" question is the one that isn't asked.
