Electrical not working, help!

Hi everyone. I'm new to this having just purchased my 13' Trillium last week.

The electrical does not seem to be working? 110 or 12V

I'm not very concerned about the lights as we can use lanterns however I would like to get the fridge running.

There is a blue wire that is coming from the thermostat control knob. It has been cut and is sitting disconnected.

The heater and stove seem to be working off of propane fine and I have tried changing the light bulbs hoping that was the cause....nope.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Nick, to FiberglassRV, we're glad you're here

There are lots of kind and helpful people here on the forums. They share information and knowledge freely. I'm sure one or two or ten of them will be along shortly.

Electrical not working

Hi, Have you checked the power converter ? It has a switch for 12V/110V selection and likely a breaker or a fuse. Usually, there is also a 110V outlet directly on the power converter. Check with an electric tester for AC and DC voltage. The fridge is connected to a 110V outlet accessible inside the RV fridge trap. If there is no voltage there, your 110V breaker might need to be reset. If you connect your fridge directly to a 110V extension cord and select 110V, you can test the fridge to see if it works.

RV of that age often got modified in terms of electrical system. You need to survey everything, find the components and check for connector and cables integrity, including under the floor.

By the way, blue wires can be the electric brake wire. If so, this is very bad news Your RV needs position lights and everything working to hit the road.

Blue wire from thermostat will have no effect on your 120v circuits. Are you plugged in? Did you test the circuit first?
