Ensolite Taping

Hi
I bought a 1972 Boler and am in the middle of the restoration. Can anyone tell me what kind of tape they used for the Ensolite seams? If anyone can steer me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Also wondering how to attach the acorn nuts over the snap rivet ends. Thanks to you all for the information I have already received on this forum. Phil M.

I just finished up replacing all of the seam tape in a 13' Scamp.
I used what single sided I/8x1 inch gray closed cell glazing tape from glasswarepro.com, #74418X1GRY. It's also listed as seam tape for vinyl.
Single sided means glue on one side only
I like it much better than the Scamp tape.
I have no idea how many feet a Boler will take.
It's about $23.00 for 100'.
I have enough for redoing another Scamp left over.
Scamp or Glasswarepro tape plan on using hot to keep it in place.

I painted a small piece of the glazing tape I had with interior latex pait an hour ago.
The paint adheres to the tape very well.

Phil, I forgot to tell you my system of Acorn nuts on rivets al by your self.
I super glue the rivet to the shell so it will not move when the acorn nut is put on it.
Put a drop of super glue in to the Acorn nut and place it on the rivet.
Make sure the rivet bottoms out in the nut.
make sure the rivet hasn't been pushed out of place.
You may have to hold the nut in place for a short time before the glue takes hold.
