My 2007 EggCamper has spent most of it life in the desert of Arizona. Yesterday I noticed that the entrance door glass had dropped about 3/4". Today I dis-assemble the window thinking that the sealer around the window had dried-out and need to be replaced. What I found is that the intense Arizona sun had not only dried -out the seal but also melted the plastic studs that supported the glass.
Knowing that the plastic frame would have to be replaced I started an internet search for replacements. I found that RV Door Window Frames are readily available. However, they are for window glass that is 12" X 21". The glass in my EggCamper is 12 1/2" X 21 1/2".
My question is. Has anyone replaced the door window frame on their EggCamper? If so, where did you find frames that fit a 12 1/2" X 21 1/2" glass?
Any help, information, or advice would be appreciated.
I just purchased a generic window for when I rebuild the entrance door of my Compact Jr. from a local RV parts store. I measured the glass for it and it is 12 1/2" X 21 1/2". The opening in the plastic frame is 12" X 21". I am sure this is what the internet ads are referring to; the finished opening not the glass.
Order one from egg camper, they probably will give it to you.
If you do and it's still a plastic frame, paint the frame with Fusion paint before you install. The paint, which is made for plastic will slow down the UV damage.

I sent a similar email question to EggCamper Friday and expect a reply early this week. I purchased white paint yesterday to protect the new frame when I get it.
I replaced the window in my Eggcamper with an opening window. Easy to install, I believe it was Atwood. By the way, I have my old frame in the garage, you can have it but shipping would be $$.

Tell me more about your "opening window". If I am going to replace what I have I would like to consider a way to improve air circulation while in the north.
