I just replaced the same thing on a Sunrader Motorhome. Door not available but the compete door and frame is available. The one I bought cost 49.00. It took about one hour to change out.

Thanks Steve, that helps. Looking at this one and measurements seem to match.

Steve, does this look like it would fit your 1986?

Those folks at adventure rv are great. I've bought a lot of stuff from them, and they are very helpful over the phone when you have questions.

When you open the vent it rotates up. rotate all the way up and push back slightly it unhooks from the frame. Hopefully the new door will hook into the old frame. Otherwise you will have to change out the frame too. Then you will also need a roll of real butyl tape and screws to mount the new frame.

Great, I was hoping the new cover would just pop right in without having to redo the whole frame. Turns out my hometown rv store, Karen's has the cover. Who knew...
I sure appreciate this forum to get me headed in the right direction.

Steve, since you have a 1986, do you have a furnace and convertor? My last major issue (I think) is the wiring of the convertor. It's been pulled out for some reason and left disconnected. I don't want to plug in to a shore line until I fix it. I'm wondering if someone has the same convertor if you are able to see which wire connect to each other. I can attach a pic...

The instructions seem to be clear on the door in the picture.

My Scamp didn't come with a converter it came with a 12 volt system and a 120 volt system they were not connected and had no battery charge functions. I rewired my trailer and put in a modern Progressive Dynamics PD4045 it has smart charger and can be left plugged in and not cook my battery.

My trailer didn't have a heater when i bought it so I installed an Atwood 2 model 7912-2 for high efficiency and lowest 12 volt power draw.
