The only size I have found so far is the 24inx6.5ft rolls. I would need two to do the whole trailer.

I will check the West Marine catalog for the two speed fan. I have another project that may need a fan.

The formula of two to three beers per window is interesting. Is that per window or person? Someone said help is nice. I have eight windows, 3x8=24, this sounds like a party. Should it be Coors?

Keith, I get your drift, it is not a cake walk.

Don, how did you do the Casita, you have slid windows. How do you get the screens out?

I tinted our Trillium by myself. The only thing my husband did was to stand outside and help point out bubbles. The job was time consuming because of there being so many little windows, but it certainly was not hard.

Now having said that, car windows are another storey as they usually have a slight curve to them. Thats where things get interesting, but beer, Naw give me a rye and pepsi...or two !:wink

I think I can get my husband to sit outside the trailer and point where the bubbles are on the windows. He sat in a chair and told me I missed a spot when I painted the trailer frame. No, he couldn't see the frame. He was the one with the drink.

I keep looking at the screens. I don't want to break them and I don't want to take the whole window out to get at the other half of the window.

On my 2000 16' LD:

1. The escape window screen pops out.

2. The back window has no screen.

3. The curb side window; drill out the two rivets holding the center bar of the screen, peel it back an inch or two. Allows room to get to the glass area. Takes two teeny little rivets, I forget the size. The screen will roll back in place.

4. Door window, same as #3.

Then I took the trailer to Alte-mere. They did the tint job, lifetime warranty. :)

Pat, when I did that Van, I lived in Illinois and now I'm in Denver and with the altitude, the formula may need to be modified. On the Van job, frankly, I think it was per window. I would just get a Keg to be safe, or go straight to Vodka Martinis with big fat garlic stuffed olives. ( just whisper the word Vermouth over the glass). Anyway, a party is always in order and I think any of these tint jobs would be a great excuse. If you want to bring the trailer out to Denver, we will help.

If you come out, Nancy, we'll get your Rye and Pepsis too.

It might be an interesting job but go for it. You can do it.

Hi Ches, I was hoping to get by without having any seams. My front and rear windows are about 24x45. Guess that I will try it anyway and if I like it will go with a permanent tint. Thanks...Benny

I haven't put tint on my Scamp 13 (yet), but I know from previous experience with a Saturn that even professional installers have problems with doing windows with compound curves (curves in more than one direction) which is what most Egg front windows are. Were I going to have mine done, I would do what I had to do when the first installer gave up on the Saturn's rear window -- Call the local Saturn dealer and find out who they jobbed out the tinting work to...

Charles, I showed my husband a picture of a computer cabinet I would like to find. He said he could build it. He spent a whole winter plus building a saw mill to cut the lumber for the cabinet. That was a few years ago. He is still working out the bugs.

Don, thank you for the pictures. They helped. Our Scamp has five windows with screens like your escape window. I have one screen off. I think things will go from bad to worse but I am moving forward.

Hi again Ches, Well I found the static tint at CTC in a 26x78 size . It was not in the same area as the regular tints but with the sunshades. The auto staff said special order!!!! ha..... Maybe will wait till we are on the road to put it on in the campgrounds someplace. Am in abind for time getting the boler ready and packed, etc. Benny
