Fantastic Fan install

I want to install a Fantastic fan in my 13' Boler. The problem is I do not have battery power for the 12Volts required to run the fan. Is it feasable to wire an appropriate AC/DC adaptor to it.

That is actually what a converter is. You could buy a converter (modern converters like Progressive Dynamics products, don't require a battery in circuit to operate). Or maybe you could find a 12vdc power supply at a computer or electronics surplus. You'll need 4 to 5 amps. Check the fan specs.

Regards,

Matt

I'm pretty sure they make a 110v model. The company is great, give them a call.

Here's my 2 cents:
With the 120VAC you can only use it when you have shore power.
With the 12VDC model you can use it with shore power and battery power. You will appreciate the battery powered model when you are boondocking or overnighting at a Wallyworld.

Check the FAQ on the Fantastic Vent website. The 110 versions of 4,5, and 6000 models are available, but do not have the reverse feature. I'd miss that, personally.
Matt's suggestion of the 5 amp convertor might just give you the best of both worlds.
