Fiamma Awning F65s

I have a 16' Scamp trailer that I would like to install the Fiamma F65s awning. It appears to have some very unique mounting brackets. I have
emailed Fiamma but have not gotten any reply. Does anyone have any experience with this awning?
Regards Fred in Denver

Picture or link to the a page that shows the brackets might spark some ideas or observations based on experience with similar awning installation.

Casita uses the F45 Fiamma awnings on their trailers.
Looking at the Fiamma website there appears to be a better selection of mounting brackets that would work on the Scamp in the F45 model than the F65.

I can try to take pictures of my Casita awning brackets this weekend.
Here are the brackets listed on the Fiamma website

I installed one on my 16' Scamp, but I never used it before a good deal on an Escape came along an I sold it .
I believe the F65 is heavier and definitely bulkier. It was pretty close to $1000 with the brackets and adhesive.
If I was going to do it again, I'd go with the F45 and fab brackets like Donna D did.

I had the brackets MADE for the awning I put on my Scamp so the awning sits upright on the top of the trailer, unlike the pictures Paul posted.

PaulW, Fantastic! Your photos look good. F65s on 16' scamp. I have the scamp and the F65s awning. I need the brackets. What did you use, something from Fiamma? Homemade of factory? Any information will be most useful.
Thanks, FredO

They were Fiama brackets that i bolted and bonded to the shell with a high shear adhesive...I'll look for the part number tomorrow...hopefully I didn't give all the paperwork to the new owner.

HI Fred,
I used the Laika Kreos 05 bracket kit, #98655-698.
Here is the link to the installation manual:
http://www.fiamma.com/download/insta.../98655-698.pdf

As you can see, each bracket is attached at the top with bolts and bonded to the shell with a thick pad of Sikaflex 252 Polyurethane adhesive.

One thing I didn't like was how close the lower edge of the awning was to the shell, but it deployed and retracted fine. You might consider building up the bottom edge of the bracket to give it a little more clearance.

Good luck!
