Fill and repair holes in Fiberglass
I just got a Surf Side trailer and previous owners have tried to install new hinges, everywhere. How do I fill and fix these holes? I will post a photo when find out how. Brian

Brian, I have a similar problem, how to fill hole in fiberglass. It will be interesting to see the responses when people get around to responding to your question rather than how to post pics.

Fiberglass repair
Hi, I have the same issue. I'm going to try Bondo Glass (short strand). I found it at Home Depot.

Something like Bondo with glass reinforcing will work. I would first make either the outside or inside of the opening wider, tapering to the existing hole size, as this will provide more bonding area. If you plan to use gelcoat to finish I would ensure a very slight depression on the exterior to hold the gelcoat and allow it to be finished flush.

Having worked on fiberglass boats for many years, I still find that Marine Tex is a very good product for filling small holes in fiberglass. I stay away from Bondo as it isn't waterproof and when it gets wet it will bubble up and makes a mess. I have found that some Ace Hardware stores carry Marine Tex.

Lots of info on the internet, just Google. Good book "The Gougeon Brothers on Boat Construction".
On Amazon:FIBRE GLASS-EVERCOAT CO Gel Kote White Pint
This can be purchased with or without wax.
I am not sure which is best, and have no experience with this stuff...yet. I expect to after this camping season is over.

According to the manufacturer, Bondo Glass is waterproof and they recommend it for marine applications as well as for autos. I guess I will find out as I used it on my belly band rebuild.
Now the Marine Tex product above looks good for small holes. On my belly band project I had to fill a lot larger holes.

I have an Escape 19 Year newer than yours, and I use epoxy products only on both boats and fiberglass trailers.I have to admit that I haven't used any Bondo Glass, but got away from using Bondo a long time ago. Epoxy products will dry hard because of chemical reaction that cause heat and is waterproof, It will fill most larger holes, but like many products it isn't designed for real large holes, but I have always found it to be very good.

Five to six years ago, I used the Bondo w/ fiberglass (pictured above) to fill a lot of small and not-so-small holes on my Trillium 4500. The repairs are still perfect, through all sorts of weather conditions. Highly recommend.
You'll need to paint, of course. Unless you like that Bondo pink color . I never painted, but I'm looking to now.

I agree. I have used it over the last bunch of years, and never an issue with it.

Small hole repair
I am Retired Air Force and in my job we repaired fiberglass flyers helmets. We used a 2 part epoxy to fill miss-drilled screw holes in helmets. Put clear tape over the hole on the outside and fill with epoxy from the inside. Make sure to fold end of tape over to make a pull tab for easy removal. Let dry over night then remove tape. Surface will be smooth and close to flush.
