flooring

Hi All-
I have a 1999 17 foot widebody Burro with indoor/outdoor carpeting that I would like to remove. I wanted to replace it with Allure. I was told at Home Depot that since I stored it here in Phoenix, AZ, the trailer would be too hot ( easily over 100 degrees inside), and the glue wouldn't hold up. I have installed vinyl planks in two boats and loved it, but that was in San Diego. Have any of you had experience with vinyl flooring at these temperatures? My second option is laminate. The carpet is glued to the fiberglass floor, and there are screws sticking up along the floor which attach the bathroom and counter to the floor-making it very uneven. i have heard good and bad about installing laminate over carpet. Any ideas?

get a test plank of the allure from Home depot (they'll have a broken box) stick it together and throw it in the oven. My trailer has been hot inside but not 100F. I think the Allure will hold up file... the stuff in my kitchen is on a south exposure and gets pretty warm. it's never come unglued. not over carpet though... take the carpet out and get the floor as level as you can. no screw heads either.

Thank you for your answer. I have decided to try Allure Ultra, which snaps together- no glue involved.

Gail, when we put our Allure in our kit it took a couple of days for the not awful smell to go away. I looked at this new Allure you are going to try. Be sure to report back to us how it all goes together. Much nicer product if it snaps together easily. Maybe those of us with south facing windows could use this.
