I was looking for someplace to get some custom cut foam. I'm thinking a couple of wedges to put under the dinette seat cushions. Raise the front 2 or 3 inches would give a bit more comfort for sitting. While searching I came across this site. http://www.knoxfoam.com/

Just thought I'd share this and it might be something to add to the helpful links page.

Byron,

If you want to have a go at making the wedges yourself, you might check at JoAnn's Fabric store. I know they carry foam. You cut it to size using an electric knife. I've seen this done on many of the home makeover shows on TV where they replace chair cushions with foam and after they cut it to size, they sew fabric over it using a slipcover method.

It would be cheaper than having foam custom cut for you and if it didn't work, you wouldn't be out much money.

We go to Oregon to buy our foam. We have found a wonderful place and they are very helpful. They will custom cut and ship via UPS.

Might be worth a second opinion.

Byron,
Since foam comes in many different densities, it might be best to find a supply at a local upholstery shop where you can actually place a piece in a chair to lean against or sit upon, as the case may be. You might not be particularly happy with the quality by making a purchase sight unseen.

I can attest to the success of using an electric knife to cut foam. I purchased a king-size bed piece of 4" memory foam from Overstock.com...cut a twin-bed size out and a curvy piece to fit the front bunk on my Scamp. Works slick! Just like cuttin' but-ta

I'm lucky we have UFOs in San Diego county.
