All of the older Dometic 3-way fridges I have seen use the same electrical thermostat for both 120V and 12V operation. I would expect yours to be the same. The particular electricity source is switched before it gets to the thermostat. However, the RM190 uses a 95 watt heater according to the service manual, so it would take about 8 amps of current, meaning your battery would run down quickly. I would only use it on 12 volt for short periods of time, or in situations where you can replenish the battery, such as charging while driving.

The rm190 that I have is a 2 way 12v and gas no 120 ac and the manuial that i have states that it has no 12v tstat and 12v is used while vehile is in motion. It says nothing about a running fridg on converter. I think you can run fridge on light dimmer and use like tstat. Kenneth Smith
