Front dinette from scratch

Hello all,

When I purchased my 76 Boler it came with most of the inner workings but 2 POs ago decided they no longer required the front bunk pieces. Had anyone built them from scratch to accommodate a dinette?

I am planning to build the seats out of 1x2's but am open to suggestions and ways to attach them to the floor and walls.

Right now I am up to my eyeballs in old house paint chips that I am removing from the exterior, so I have a lot of time to plan out this build each evening during the body work phase.

Hi Chris ,I'm not building any bunks but were I to do so I think I would try and use square aluminum tubing for framing for the bunks. It's light, strong and won't rot as does wood . It may cost more upfront but will last forever with bolted or riveted joints. Gussets could be added for more strength in each connection. Wall connections may be glassed in place where needed prior to adding the frame members. Pieces could also be welded if there is somebody who can do such work. Good luck with your project ! Duane
