Furnace fan speed pulsing

After a long cold Winter I fired up my furnace in preparation for a trip. It did work, but the fan speed pulsed up and down. It seemed high enough at these speeds. Its just that the pulsing is new. Anyone have an idea whats going on?

Thanks, john

Did you do this off of shore power or just the battery? Did you have any 12V lights on and did they pulse too? Might be the fan bearings haven't thawed out yet .

Your battery always gives 12 volts?
I already had a battery becoming defective distributed 6 vots only ...

Yea it sounds like the voltage is varying coming off the converter. What is the frequency of the pulsing? Does it slow down / speed up every second, every minute, etc.? Maybe post a video? Can you put a voltmeter on the circuit and track the voltage with the fan speed changes?

I was using a fully charged battery with no other loads. The pulsing seems to have a 2 second period. I will try putting a voltmeter on it.

Thanks for your thoughts, john

check for dust bunnies or an obstruction in the chimneys.
Open the cabinet and whack the side of the furnace with the flat of your hand while it is running.
