A real simple solution. Get warmer blankets and/or sleeping bag and don't turn the furnace on for overnight use. Always make certain you're wide awake when it's fired.

Best advice so far, but along with the CO detector, if you are idetermined to sleep with the heater on get a smoke detector as well. Everything in your trailer including your covers are extremely flammable. If you use a sleeping bag it's even worse for an ignition source and the gases emitted will likely kill you before any flames did.

I like to live dangerously. I use my heater because when mama's cold no one gets any rest. My behind and feet get cold easily and take quite a bit to get warmed up to sleeping temp. If I don't have an outside heat source it can take 3-4 hours, no matter what type sleeping bag or cover I have.

My heater is over a bit from the bed so I feel safe using it.
