I have a new (to me) '72 Boler which when purchased had a non functioning Wagonmaster furnace. After much research and helpful information found on this forum have been able to get the furnace working; however, during repairs I found that the red control knob (pilot/on/off) was rounded off where it meets the valve. Can anyone suggest where I can find a replacement?
Thanks
Dave

I haven't had experience with this place (yet), but a lot of people recommend a place called "RV Doctor George" in California. He has a website. From the photos on there it looks like a huge place, chock-a-block with old RV appliances and other parts. Smorgasbord!

Thanks for the quick reply Raya.
I was hoping for a readily available quick fix; I think the "Doctor" will make a large dent in my available credit when I call...

David,

I understand, and there may likely be some "standard" knob that you can buy at the hardware store.

But I don't get the impression that RV Doctor George would be wildly expensive. His website sure is low key. Makes it look like their prices would be reasonable.

I called them when I was looking for furnace parts. They didn't know if they had what I needed but took my number. An hour later they called back to say that they did not have what I was looking for, but they sure were prompt and pleasant. They also gave me a number for another place to try.

George is very reasonable as far as used/salvage parts go. With this in mind, you're looking for a plastic part from an obscure, obsolete forty year old appliance. Isn't it worth five or ten extra bucks to have the "right" piece?
