The bid is up to $455.55 and the shipping is $100.00 and you cannot return it for any reason. Are parts going to be available if you need repairs or service. At a minimum of $600.00 dollars you are not that far from a Honda 2000 at Camping World.
I have had my Honda 2000 for at least 5 years. I had to clean the carb once because I left the fuel in it over the winter and the fuel turned to jelly. Other than the carb cleaning I have changed the oil 5 or 6 times. It always starts on the second pull and usually on the first.
I can run the gen next to my camper and carry on a normal conversation and most importantly I do not offend my camping neighbors.
Hope this helps,
John

I have never heard of the generator that you have questions about.

I saw the Kipor / McCullough type of digital generators at Pep Boys the other day with a different name on them and they were red in color. less expensive than the Honda.
-------------------------------------
Preventive Maintenance on small gas engines – 2 and 4 cycle:

I put StaBul in all my gas cans so when I fill up any fuel tank, generator, mower, chain saw, etc - it will have treated gas in it all year round. StaBul states it will keep the gas good for a period of 2 years.

I also put in some Seafoam Carburetor cleaner in each fuel tank once a year and it cleans out any gunk and/or moisture that has built up. It costs $6 to $7 USD and is well worth the price. The less expensive carb cleaners just do not work that well.

The link I posted was for a 3000 watt generator and even Honda's 3000 watt weights a lot more than this one and the 2000 watt is $499.00 Buy it Now...
here's the link on the 2000 watt

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ADME:BF:US:11

If the 3000 watt is as light and as quite as the specs says it is and will stand up that would be a REAL deal......

Wonder if Consumer Reports has any info on it?

Could this be one of those, you get what you pay for?

or, if the price sounds too good to be true...it probably is??

If it's a "Real Deal," it won't be long before the rest of the generator wanting world will hear about it. If it's NOT...then they'll hear about it too.

That 3KW generator in Randy's link is a demo unit (used).

I suspect the specifications are wrong as posted. If you look at the new 2KW unit from the same seller, you'll see the specs are almost identical. I don't believe for a minute that a 3KW unit has the same noise level and nearly the same weight as a 2KW unit.

Look at the seller's feedback.

I know these sound and look to good to be true that why I listed them on here to see if anyone has any knowlege about them....I went back and checked the sellers feedback and found someone that bought one back in April....Don't know "IF" I done right or not but sent them a E-mail asking them how it has worked out... if their pleased or not, ect....Just sent it off and will post what I find out....

Really took me a while before I sent the E-mail...Didn't know if I should or not...What ya think

I did a bit of an internet search. That generator is Chinese rip off. I wouldn't touch it.

Gina, Thanks for link to the ebay sellers feedback.

Gina,

How do you read just the negative feedback posts on eBay?

It can take a long time to page through all the posts, when I'm only interested in the negative or neutral.

Thanks,
Morgan

Thanks Gina, works great.

I wonder why eBay doesn't have such a feature? It sure will make it easier to select reliable sellers.

the little honda generators are the way to go; reliable, lightweight and quiet. i and my friends have had many different brands; almost all are a disappointment. the hondas are superb. do try to keep the generator out of the rain, its no good for the electric panel; its nice to build a small box which can be open sided or cut out at the exhaust.
