I see conflicting decibel claims but it appears that this will be considerably louder than a Honda or Yamaha. Seems reasonable otherwise.

Looked it up on Google and the answer was 59db.

If I remember properly, 3db is is effectively twice as loud from a human's perspective

The reviews on Amazon were not exactly great. Actually they were equal volume of good and bad reviews. One review hit my concern exactly - why was the price so low (@$450) for a nearly 3000 watt generator from a name brand like Dometic? I guess long term reviews on durability and service will tell the tale.

Although 3db is twice the power level, it takes a 10db difference to seem twice as loud. A 1db difference is the smallest most people can notice.
