Glue silicone to fiberglass.

I need to glue some platinum cured silicone to fiberglass. Any ideas?

Cured silicone? Don't think that's going to work unless it's got a flat side to work with. Could clean a spot under the trailer and try Gorilla glue to see how well it sticks.

All the commercially produced silicone seal products that get attached to glass, aluminum, fiberglass such as shower door seals are put on using VHB tape. But you do need to go to the 3M website and see exactly which formula of VHB tape and what bonding primer (if any) is required to use it on silicone.

The 3M website might have other suggestions for bonding cured silicone to various substrates.

Can't help it, somehow "glue" and "silicone" seems like an oxymoron. I expect glue to stick, silicone... not so much unless you want to get it off!

Sounds like spendy stuff, whatever it is. Possibly part of the Unobtainium product line on my budget.

3M VHB, however it sticks stronger than Donna's silicon.
