I have just ordered a new Scamp Deluxe 13 and also thinking about a Honda 2000 generator to take along. I am wondering how you carry them. I have ordered the hitch reciever on back to carry my bicycles on back of Scamp, so can not carry gen on back.

Maybe you still can...
With a Hitch Haul Cargo Carrier plus the Bike adapter you might be able to carry it all.

Joy,
That's a ingenious setup on the tongue. What is your tongue weight? I have 2 propane tanks on the 13 thats on order. I am thinking of leaving 2 LP tanks where they are and making a box or platform to hold Honda 2000, small fuel can & battery. Wondering if there's enought room.

Dale,

You'd have to stack to get all that on the tongue of a 13 footer. IMHO, one propane tank is plenty unless you are out in the boonies for a couple of months.

Tongue weight measured last year at the Oregon gathering is about 300 lbs. That's with Honda 2000 Generator gas tank full, 20lb propane tank full and a group 27 battery. You'd be surprised how heavy the tray and box are.

I'm just within my total trailer weight differential to tongue weight. Whatever that percentage is.

My trailer actually tows better now, than before I put the generator on the tongue. That would be with or without the anti-sway bar.
