Hello Listers,
Our 'new'
Scamp is down in the shop getting fixed up.
Taking it to the shop was an interesting time for us. Normal course in the past would have been to tear everything out and start a 100% restoration. Lynnette and I talked about
paint jobs, fancy wheels , ceramic insulation...............
Then we decided on a new path for us. Make it nice but have it ready in a couple weeks to enjoy.
No giant restoration, just get it comfortable and go have FUN.
I called
Scamp and ordered a new front window and a bunch of little detail stuff like new gaskets for the door, new riviots with caps.............. Their care package should be here next week.
Now I am looking at the built in heater. I need to get into it since I can see that Mud Daubers have made a nest in one of the vents. While I am in there, should I do anything more than clean up and inspect?
Has anyone done any research on fan replacement for a more efficient unit?
How much current does it draw?
We will be
solar boondockers most of the time.
Do you have any other suggestions to make the stock
propane heater work as good as possible?
Take care,
Nolan
