help

Please help me. I want to splice into the electric feed line before the inverter and install a Handy Box with a outlet for my new 120v fridg I bought at wallgreens . Is this ok to do? I have read that some have used the inverter and installed a seperate breaker to power the fridg but wound up cooking the inverter and damaging the fridg. Please let me know what you think. I know there would be a short power drop when the fridg compressor comes on but I do not think it would cause a negitive effect on the inverter , do you??? Thanks for any help or thoughts on my installation. Dan M.

120v

Dan:

Most likely, it's not an inverter, it's a converter. Adding a 120v circuit should have no effect on the converter.

What're you working on?

Does it have a 12v fuse panel or 120v breaker or any 120vac outlets?

You may be better off in the long run to have somebody install it?!
