help!!

I have a 1976 Ventura 400D and the door is shot, I have all the framing and such but the plastic trim is all busted, someone said they could repair it and when I took it to them no go. Does anyone have a door or know where I can get one or does anybody know of someone in the Vancouver BC area who could repair it. Planning a belated honeymoon from BC to Niagra Falls no go without the door. Had plenty of time as I thought the shop I took it too could repair the door, now I have until 19th of June to fix it. Help! Thanks in advance.

Depends on how handy you are and what tools you have. What I did on mine, was pick up a used interior door for a house(plywood not particle board) from the Reuse Store for $15. I then cut it down to size and glued in new wood edges where needed. I glued white formica on both sides. I then installed the aluminium trim to the door with acrylic caulking and screws. I installed a Fastec door latch (sold the Bargman L400 for $150 on ebay). I cut off the plastic trim. For a window I went with round portal window.

The other option is see if anyone is scrapping a truck camper as some of them seem to used the door size and replace the whole thing, frame and all.
