Help, Casita sagging onto frame

My 1981 Casita the frame is breaking the fiberglass on 3 corners when I jump on the tongue you can see the frame go into the body. has anyone seen this before? When I look under the camper the frame looks fine but the body seems to be sagging. is this from a rotten floor or ?

Wow- sounds like whatever support was built in at those points is failing! I don't know enough about Casitas to venture an opinion as to why- What was the build year? Has it had water leaks, and if so, is there plywood reinforcement in the failing locations that might have rotted away????

Hope other Casita owners weigh in-

Francesca

I am dealing with a similar problem in my Compact Jr's rebuild, but only in one rear corner under where the kitchen sink was. I suspect that un-noticed leaking plumbing may have contributed as the wood floor had a water stain. But that alone could not have cracked the fiberglass? I speculate that hitting a pot hole in the road jarred that area enough to crack the fiberglass, and not finding and addressing the initial crack allowed it to open up and settle around the frame.

John in case you dont get the answer to your problem on this forum, & in case you havent seen it yet there is a Casita Travel Trailer Forum. You do need to register to read the forum though.

Thanks I will try the casita forum. I know the windows leaked on this casita so maybe the wood is rotten. Looking under the trailer I don't know how it would attach its all fiberglass. I hope it is fixable
