Help! How to run electric heater?

We hooked up our our chord at campsite... However, electric heater won't work... Maybe the park electrical is down. Do we need to turn anything on or should they just run?

Does anything else that uses AC work? Plug in a hair dryer or something like that.

Most of the time when something won't run a switch is in the off state?

There are three or four switches between you and AC.

The heater switch,
Obvious what to do.

the Trailer's breaker switch,
Usually located some where near where the power cord goes thru the wall of the trailer, a smaller version of what's in your house.

the Campground site breaker box,
Usually on the power pole you plugged your trailer into, turn it off and back on.

The main campground breaker.
Only the Campground knows.

Hope that helps, if it doesn;t go to who ever runs the campground.

If any other electric item works when plugged into the same outlet, it's probably time to buy a new heater. But most likely I think you'll find that nothing works on the outlet... and it's a circuit breaker that needs to be reset.

Occasionally a weak breaker at a particular campsite might continue to pop off as soon as it's reset. If that happens, they should replace the breaker or at least be willing to let you switch to a different campsite. I had that happen with my old Burro in one campground.
