I don't think it runs all the time when on 110V. I don't remember it running all the time. Mine is so quiet, it doesn't bother me at all. I believe yours has the same internals as mine. Mine just has a larger box.
I'm putting mine on the front bench . There's room so a (read that- ONE) person can still sit on the bench by the door.
I like the digital temp. read-out it has.
The plug for the drain in mine looks like it won't hold water. (Check yours)
I'll put in a drain hose on mine once I get it permanently mounted. It would be bad if it leaked in the camper!
Congrats on living the life! (I wish I could do it right now).
I read your sig line and thought "Life IS a celebration!"

There is always a sale. If not, tell the manager you will purchase at the sale price or they can forgetaboutit.

It works, you just have to stand your ground.

Trust me - Negotiation works at almost all the stores as long as you keep moving up the chain of leadership.

He's right about negotiation, I sent the Whynter people an email an email and an email (prolly more). I got them down to where the guy told me he was only making $11 off the sale!
Oh. boo hoo, like I believed that! I did get a good deal though- $585 shipped for the 85 qt.
Well, It was less than my 45 qt. Engel by $115 (and that was a good deal then)

Good deal Mike, I think the 45qt was 420 for at least one day last week and I don't know if that was free shipping or not. Yet with the coupons and discount at kmart for just yesterday I got it for $398 and with tax it came to $422 which is the best deal I've seen in a long time.

I do remember several years ago people buying the edgestar or whytner for $350 but I haven't seen that type of price in a longggg time. So I feel really good about the price it's just fitting it into my rig that is challenging.

It's challenge I "feel" you're up to!

I think the 12V stuff is only going up because the power of the "green" movement. I love 12V. If only they could make a GOOD 12V air conditioner that used energy like our fridges!
