so I decided to go with Allure sticky strips. I am going with Pacific Pine. I have not installed anything yet. I am almost done removing the carpet from the first part of trailer. But I have a small problem. The strip of wood that runs across the floor of the door entrance is not budging. I removed the top screws and it flexes but is not popping out.
Help please.. Thank you so much. I also have a question with prepping the sub floor of the scamp
. DO I sand all the left over soft textured glue? Or can I just leave it? I already took off the padding that was left now there is just some soft smooth stuff. It seems to be fine. Another question I have is do you guys recommend gluing the floor down or just laying the floor on top? My understanding is the scamp
sweats and that may cause mold under the floor if the allure is glued to it? It can also get mold if water gets caught underneath the flooring. Well that is my understanding.
1) how to go about removing wood strip in the door way to install allure.
2) How to prep the floor?
3) GLUE Allure down with M# product or just float Allure on top?
I cant wait to show off the beach cottage scamp
PS I decided to go with Allure because I did not like how water effected or affected the top part of engineer wood. So allure it is
If this don't work out I am doing cork. But it has to work because I love the pacific pine look .lol
